Bought for Escalade 2000 5.7. These were random dropouts during and after rain or when the air was humid. Replaced cover, rotor, candles, cables, camshaft sensor, crankshaft sensor, etc. Nothing has changed. I started reading reports here of gaskets wearing out in a stock plastic distributor and allowing condensate to rise out of the oil pan, dumping the distributor and pooling under the cover causing sparks. I bought this dispenser because I didn't want to pay 2-300 for another plastic pos. Received in 4 or 5 days. I removed the caps from both distributors and photographed the location of the old one. Release the latch and slide it back, pull out the old manifold and insert the new one straight in, positioning it the same way as the old one. No problem. Slide the buttock latch down and tighten. Since then there hasn't been a single dropout. And this is with a scanner connected and reading misfire data.
