I am so disappointed to write such a bad review for a product that I desperately need. We have an older lab with joint problems and slippery wooden floors. He has slipped and injured himself so many times that he is literally afraid to walk on our floors. We built a system of "runways" across the house with carpets (which confuse ME!) that look awful but allow him to move. Those paws seemed like the perfect solution. We measured his feet and checked the size on the RC Pet Products website (x-large). When the socks arrived I was very pleased to see that they were of very good quality and well made. Unfortunately they don't work. It took almost 30 minutes to overcome in a very obedient dog. The foot of the sock is so narrow that it was painful for him to slide his large insert through into the foot of the sock. Once on his foot, they will not stay. Total spend $15. The toe part of the sock needs to be more elastic to allow the toe pad to fit inside the sock but still fit snugly against the narrow part of the dog's leg. Went to TJMaxx and got three pairs of baby socks with non-stick slippers. Stuff below for $3. They're easy to hook up and work well, although we regularly find one of them disconnected. Most importantly, the runway carpets are gone and Samson can roam the house again. We know when one of the socks is off because he's crying because he can't move around the house.
