Review on ๐Ÿš— OBDLink EX Adapter for Improved FORScan OBD Performance by Rick Bear

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works as it should! Very nice gadget for my 2017 Ford F150!

Excellent product. I highly recommend the OBDLink EX FORScan OBD adapter. I feel more secure with USB as there is less chance of communication errors when connected directly. You need to be a bit techy or at least comfortable with it because you can do a lot of things with it and you can really mess things up if you're not careful. There are many resources out there. Specially for Ford F150. The only downside is that you need to use the Forsan software and most likely need to purchase a license for the software. It only costs $10 for 1 year, $20 for 3 years, $30 for 5 years and $50 for lifetime. So far I have used a 2 month trial to change the settings for the turn signals and DRLs - daytime running lights. I will try other mods at some point and will most likely need to buy a license especially if I plan to play around with it after the 2 month trial period. If you want to play around with your car's settings, I recommend this adapter. OBDLink EX FORScan OBD Adapter - * Access advanced features not available with sticky handheld switching adapters * Simultaneous reading of parameters from ECUs on different CAN networks * Seamless switching between HS-CAN, MS-CAN and J1850 Ford Networks * "No switching" means you don't have to worry about accidentally transferring data to the wrong network. FORScan is a software scanner for Ford, Mazda, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles designed to work with ELM327 and J2534 pass-through compatible adapters. Key Features: Determining the configuration of the vehicle's electrical system Reading and resetting diagnostic trouble codes of all modules (see list of supported modules) Reading module sensor data Performing test diagnostic procedures Performing service procedures Configuring and programming modules
