The water pad arrived in the original Aprilaire packaging and was a replica of the one being replaced. Clear and complete instructions for installing the seal are printed on the outside of the carton. It took me about 20 minutes to remove the old gasket, thoroughly clean the inside of the humidifier, put the new gasket in place, and turn the humidifier back on. Frame and water distribution plate that hold the water cushion in place. I could see where someone could drop the entire assembly only to be very disappointed when they get this water pad and find out that it's just a medium used to facilitate water flow in the humidifier. It must be inserted into the old frame and water distribution plate to be reinstalled into the humidifier.
