Review on ๐ŸŒŸ Enhancing Aesthetics: ARRIS Carbon Wrapped Gloss Surface for Ultimate Style by Dennis Goozmer

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The outer diameter ranges from 9.86mm to 10.16mm and is slightly curved.

I bought these tubes to build a Fast Electric 90+mph RC boat to support my sponsors on a 40" fiberglass boom. When I first took them out of the box I was struck by the finished and pleasing look of the carbon fiber pattern. At high speed, stability and rigidity are critical to keep the center lines of the sponsors perfectly parallel to the main body and in level with the body and surface water leveled horizontally. why I chose these carbon fiber tubes. That being said as my body is nearing completion and I did a detailed inspection in preparation for drilling the body and sponsors to connect them to the carbon fiber tube. And I found, using a digital caliper and a perfectly flat surface, the outside diameter of the rods varied between 9.86mm and 10.16mm, which I was able to work with, a 0.30mm variation in diameter isn't that important though the pipes were straight. Finally the holes on the floats and hull were lightly overdrilled and filled with epoxy to hold them in place after the pipes were routed through the hull and floats. The diameter issue caused only a minor fixable situation. But when I laid the tubes on a perfectly flat surface and rolled them to check if they were right/straight, I found that both tubes weren't right or straight. They have a visible yoke that runs the full length of each tube and raises the center of the tubes 2.65mm above a flat surface. A kinking issue results in a possible 6 degree alignment issue that cannot be fixed! A 6 degree misalignment problem at 100 mph can be a disaster to say the least. The poles are good and great for a kite project. But they lack the precision and quality for a detailed assembly. If you are building a kite, buy them well. If you are carrying out a detailed project where technical specifications are crucial, choose another product! See attached photos
