Update 11/25/2020 - I've been using these bowls for about 2 years now and I'm still very satisfied. They have held up very well to long use and continue to be a valuable addition to the kitchen. ---- I've been using these bowls for a few months now and absolutely love them. They are lightweight, easy to clean and ideal for storage. Contrary to some other reviews, their light weight doesn't worry me about their durability. Steel is both light and strong. That's Steel's idea. I'm not sure what on earth goes on in other people's kitchens, but my usual use in the kitchen isn't to use a hammer to knock live sap out of my mixing bowls, and that would be about what it would take to damage those things. .However, do not put them in the oven or place them directly on the stove. These are mixing bowls, not cooking vessels. One of these bowls would probably work well as the top of a steamer, but I wouldn't put it further. Just like you wouldn't bake cookies on a cutting board or fry an egg on your plate, you don't cook in your own bowl. If I could alter these bowls in any way, I would make them a little deeper. I like a wide bowl because it eliminates the need to scoop the contents from the bottom to mix. However, these bowls are so flat that I often have to be careful not to spill the contents overboard. But I'm dealing with it very well and I hope it stays that way.
