Lots to like, great quality but flaws as a landscape phone holder

I am very impressed with this. It's a quality build and works well - for the most part. - Wireless charging supported via GPS and Bluetooth streaming (connected with a Qualcomm compatible 12V adapter) - The motorized clamp is quiet, fast and reliable - The suction cup mount is well designed and durable - USB C means I can use the cable can quickly switch from the mount to my phone when I need faster charging. I switched from the iOttie Easy One-Touch 4 to this, which isn't a wireless charger and uses a spring-loaded automatic clamp and push mechanism to release. My main complaint with iOttie is that the ball mount wasn't smooth when I have to turn my phone to portrait at times. Started looking for options and found this one. This is ZeeHoo's greatest weakness. If you look at the photos of the product you can see that the ball joint on the mount is "high", in other words it's off center behind the phone (I'm using a big big LG V30). In landscape mode, the phone is "off-center," with most of the phone's weight to the right of the ball mount. This means the weight of the phone is constantly trying to rotate the phone clockwise from landscape to portrait due to bumps in the road and shaky driving. I can fix this by tightening the "nut" behind the ball joint, but this makes it almost impossible to turn the phone upright. When I rotate the phone to portrait mode, the main body of the phone folds down, covering most of the bottom dash buttons and knobs. This is in comparison to the center ball mount, which would snap a little higher, a little lower. In and of itself, that's not a big deal, but it might be something to think about before you buy. I replaced this with a Choetec wireless charger where the ball mount is more or less centered behind the phone, which is my main complaint. Like this ZeeHoo, Cheotech offers a USB-C connection (so I can just connect to my phone when I need to charge faster). The build quality of the mounting arm appears to be about the same between the two devices. I give the Choetec unit a louder motor (the ZeeHoo is completely quiet by comparison) and the ZeeHoo opens a little wider. So please take my comments as they are based on the scenery. User. If I only used my phone in portrait mode I would be a very happy customer.
