Note: Each plug is connected by default!

As much as I love this box, I probably won't be able to use it the way I originally intended. (I thought I could use it as a bus on both sides, one for plus and one for minus.) I bought with the intention of connecting multiple solar panels in parallel, with negative leads on one side and positive leads on the other. What I didn't know: Both sides of each row are connected. That might be typical for a combiner, but I didn't know that. As I expected, each row is linked to the previous one and the following one by default. Thus, all rows are connected thanks to a red jumper in the middle, which can be removed with a flat screwdriver. This means that by default every connector is connected to all others (either side or every side). a row). Maybe the red stick, called push pins or jumper by the seller, should probably not be attached to the device before shipping. Each row is still connected. I suppose it's great for a combiner in the usual sense. I wanted to be able to combine the positive (+) leads of my solar panels on one side and all the negative (-) leads on the other. The plan was then to take a wire from the positive side as well as a wire from the negative side and feed them into my line inverter. I temporarily shorted one or both panels. Thankfully, I quickly realized what was going on. However, I could use better instructions. As it stands now I would have to buy a second one to use it the way I intended (as a separate bus for + and -).

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
