The 16ft stadium rod we bought is of a much better quality than our other shorter stadium rods and is perfect for field work as it glides very smoothly on the segment rods even in mud. We use it with a self-leveling arm laser to get heights in the study area, which is quick and easy with this milestone, even at high altitudes. We were able to achieve a height accuracy of 1/8 inch. Also, it comes in a nice storage bag to protect it when not in use. Our other stadium milestones were too short to take these height measurements in areas of high topographical relief and also when we have to cross an overpass where there are culverts under the road to create an entry back marker and an exit back marker to obtain. This is the nicest stadium pole we have ever bought.
