Review on Red Great Northern Popcorn 5995 10 oz. Perfect Popper Popcorn Machine with Cart by Ashley Ellis

The machine came much earlier than promised. We got off to a great start. I liked that it comes with a large spoon, measuring spoons, paper popcorn bags, and three reusable plastic popcorn cups. Everything is packed very well in foam and plastic sleeve so there is no chance of scratching the glass. One of the reasons I chose this machine was the glass wall construction instead of the plastic plexiglass. I carefully unpacked and unfolded each piece. Amazing so far. The only thing that immediately catches your eye is the lack of assembly instructions. Come on, how hard can that be? I wish we could give half a star as I would only deduct half a star as there are no assembly instructions at all and one of the bearings was not screwed in properly for the screw. go to. I tried different screws but none tightened at all. I hope this won't be difficult to fix. So right now my machine is sitting in the corner of the room and we'll just remember that until the screw issue is fixed. Assembling a real popper was easy enough to figure out, but the wagon is another story. I tried to find a video on YouTube but there was nothing for the 10 ounce popcorn maker and it is a little different from the videos I found for the 4 and 8 ounce machines. I had twelve bolts before I knew anything was wrong. Removing the screws was very painful because I tightened them very well. I finally figured out what to do, but a simple page of instructions would have saved an extra hour of frustration and earned me a fifth star. Now that it's (almost) completely assembled, I'm thrilled with this machine. We wipe the inside of the kettle and the inner walls of the machine with a damp cloth and spit out the first batch of pre-dosed packs. Playing it safe and looking at the first batch, we noticed a small amount of black grease on a few pieces of popcorn. The next batch exploded perfectly! The smell and taste are exactly the same as in a professional cinema. It doesn't feel like it's going to fall apart, but it wobbles a bit. However, in truth, the reason may be the lack of support, which I cannot pinpoint. Overall I am very happy with my purchase. I think we will be using this machine for many years. The seller sent the goods quickly and got a 5. A Great Northern rating of A- for the lack of bogie assembly instructions and the lack of defective screw threads on the support section. Clearly a quality control issue.I
