Review on Diamond Ceramic Porcelain Marble - Agile Shop by Mike Rice

This will get the job done!

I bought 100mm and 130mm bits because I didn't know which one worked best. I did the stupid thing and punched my tiles with a hole for the protruding part of the valve but there wasn't enough room for the whole assembly so it didn't line up when I tried to put the handle back on and it doesn't fit. I got two sizes, one that I felt fit perfectly and one that was significantly oversized but still smaller than my case. I made my first cut at 100mm. I drilled a hole with a screw in the top of the water bottle cap and just pushed it in to maintain a steady flow of water, which I could easily spray with my free hand while holding the drill bit in the other. It jumped and when the saw grabbed me I was off center and the valve didn't fit. The diamond rim is already half worn. I then opted for the larger 130mm to ensure I had the clearance I needed. This one broke out in a third of the time and was perfect. I noticed that the edge at 130mm was more diamond from the start. For the price I was expecting less quality control so I can't be mad. So my mixed experience was still positive and I did what I needed for less than $30. Will definitely buy again for future projects.

Pros
  • Always use lubricant (water), otherwise the diamond core drill will burn through. Start drilling diagonally
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
