This is just one of several basic USB-C 3.1 to HDMI adapters I've tried that actually work, no tweaks - and it's the cheapest. I have a long 25ft HDMI cable connecting my Matchbook Pro to my 82" High Definition Smart TV which I use specifically for watching 1080p movie files when WiFi mirroring causes that audio and video fail. When my annual uni adapter failed, I first tried four other adapters from different vendors that I bought at the same time and found that Apple's bulky multi-adapter (not a simple built-in adapter) only worked with one. I then bought a new built in Uni adapter which failed after a few days and as a backup this "cheap" Revain Basics adapter which worked fine for a month.
