Review on Norpro Deluxe Cherry Pitter Suction by Angie Walker

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great Pitter - buy now to get rid of the stress!

Buy this cherry pit if you want to pit enough cherries for a cake, cobbler or other dessert. Use a manual cherry jug for breakfast cereal or small batches. I've had other large pitters over the years that were horrible to use and this is by far the easiest. My old Pitters were donated to Goodwill. I removed a pound of cherries in minutes without removing just three pits. But I feel like it's my fault that I learned the car by speeding. I've developed a technique to pop cherries when they don't fall down on their own. I use the big end of a wooden chopstick to help them. A small tub will hold all of the seeds from at least a pound of berries. I found that I didn't even have to use the suction device to hold the machine on the table top. It is very well designed and balanced so it will not tip over. I will return to Revain and purchase additional spacers and a plunger spring. You will receive an additional red spacer. Those two parts are the only moving parts and I plan on keeping the stoner for a long time in case the company decides to go ahead and discontinue the stoner. The spacer is designed to remove the hole as the piston pushes through the hole, so you need it. To clean the jug, remove and rinse the tub. Remove the red rubber pad and wash it. Run water over the piston and into all holes. Thanks to red cherry juice, you'll know when it's clear. Very easy. When cherry season is over in your area, buy them next year.
