I bought this nylon strap (18mm, blue) for a vintage Elgin automatic and am generally happy with the result. This nylon strap is very thick, durable nylon - quite unlike most nylon NATO straps - and should last a long time. It has efficient quick release pins that make it very easy and simple to put on and take off. If you look at the photos you will see that the hardware is brushed aluminum and very durable. The nylon strap has a reinforcement strip at the buckle holes and is designed to prevent breaking. What do I not like about the belt? The holders are fixed, and if you have a small wrist like me, there are a lot of extra straps sticking out. Making the second latch slide would help. But overall this is a very strong nylon strap with many good qualities that put it head and shoulders above any NATO.
