I've used Sierra 18-5247 twice in the past (4 times, dual engine), no problem. I change my lid/rotor every spring whether it's necessary or not. I will attach a photo of what it looks like with 2 clocks on the engine. Noticed a significant weight difference between the (lighter) Sierra and Mercruiser OEM part 898253T22. Maybe it's just a coincidence, but I can't let it happen, especially not anytime soon.
