Disappointing in kitchen and dining room
Although the distance from the thermometer to the portable is long, the temperature seems prohibitive. Rare Beef is set at 140 degrees and you cannot set it lower. I shoot our steak to 135 and it's already medium rare, not even medium rare! I'll try a cheaper device I bought earlier to see if it's more accurate. My OLD gauge was accurate and read accurate temperatures, producing perfect steaks. He died after more than 15 years of service. Sad face!
