So far, so good. I took it on a kayak.

So far, so good. I've taken this in a kayak a few times and hooked it up to a standard Horizon HX290 VHF radio. Communication was easy. the device worked as it should. And washing is no problem. just watered it. I (fortunately) didn't really test the immersive rating. However, a waterproof device provides additional security and makes cleaning easier.
