Risk of fire and premature failure
Not recommended. It worked fine for a month until the socket contact melted and started smoking. Luckily it didn't start a fire or damage my chameleon panther. The electrical contacts in this type of outlet are unusual and I think cheaper to make than in a traditional lighting outlet. I think it's a fire hazard.
