Disappointing Heat Lamp for Reptiles

According to my experience this heat lamp did not meet my expectations .While it did provide some warmth for my REPTILE tank, it was not consistent or reliable. The product also appeared to be cheaply made and did not withstand regular use..

Risk of fire and premature failure

Not recommended. It worked fine for a month until the socket contact melted and started smoking. Luckily it didn't start a fire or damage my chameleon panther. The electrical contacts in this type of outlet are unusual and I think cheaper to make than in a traditional lighting outlet. I think it's a fire hazard.
