A quality supplier can always be distinguished from a counterfeit by how they show their care where it matters most to the consumer. You only had to take care of two things: the device itself and the mounting hardware {screws and dowels}. The pre-packaged hardware featured mounting screws that, when tightened, had to support the weight of the ironing board, which would pass right through the mounting holes, causing possible injury to the user's feet. It's nothing the seller doesn't know about, it's just something they don't give enough thought to switching suppliers.
