Review on MikroTik RBcAPGi-5acD2nD-US: High-performance Dual-Band 802.11ac Access Point by Somsak Pasalae ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Im amazed! It was definitely worth the money!

For me, the choice of network devices is obvious - Mikrotik. Cisco functionality for a budget price. Set it up and forget it, no lags, stutters or anything like that. Pros below: - The number of settings is out of competition, you can configure everything and even more. The functionality is really impressive, including industrial-grade technologies. - Workmanship is very good - A set of two covers - a round one is installed, a square one is also included. Suitable for any interior. - The size is small, it does not seem so from the photo, but this thing is smaller than a man's palm - PoE - nothing is required other than a twisted pair cable. Power is supplied via a pass-through adapter to the same wire. This makes installation much more flexible. Moreover, this does not reduce the speed, you get the same life-giving GIGABIT. - At this price point, there is no alternative to the same features and flexibility. - Firmware is complete. In fact, this is not only an access point, but also a full-fledged router, if you want. You can generally get by with just this device for building a network if you do not have wired clients. - All fasteners included - single spacer for fastening to the main wall / ceiling, double for Armstrong, self-tapping screws. - Good coverage, has 2 antennas 2.4GHz and 2 antennas 5GHz. - The speed is decent for Wi-Fi. 5GHz AC measured - up to 200Mbit, 2.4 - 120Mbit. More than enough for anything. Cons: For me personally, there are no shortcomings. But for many, a huge number of settings will be a disadvantage, this is not a simple home router for you, the device is professional. However, according to the instructions, any user can configure it, this is not such a problem. A special "quick setup" mode allows you to set up a basic configuration in 5 minutes.
