I use this case for a set of 72 Prismacolor Premiere colored pencils. I prefer this suitcase to suitcases that look like books or three-ring binders because I can put it on the table next to me and see all my colors at once. If you have 72 long pencils in it and then close it, a pencil or two will stick out of the rim. I fixed this by taking the sleeve, folding it into a long rectangle and then pulling some excess fabric to the outside edge so that when you close it there is excess fabric on that edge to cover the pins. If sharpening has made your pencils shorter, you should avoid this problem. Also, I love that you can fold this case into a square shape, which makes it look pretty. Also, I don't think the leather piping and strap is real leather if that matters to people. In general, a very good case - I am very happy with it.
