Dispatched and delivered in one day, thanks! Really saved me in a desperate situation. 2010 bmw 328i 188k miles found idle problems, whistling like a pig and general symptoms pointed to this aged valve cover part. Previously I replaced the valve cover gasket, eccentric shaft seal, spark plugs and coils and Valvetronic engine gasket. Nothing was left but this PVC membrane that I didn't even know existed. Thank you BMW! The quality of the part is excellent and it actually fits the old valve cover very well (I used some gasket silicone and hammered it in with a hammer and block of wood to make sure it was an even fit). it's a pain Remove the PVC piece installed in the valve cover. I used a dremel and shaved off the protruding plastic, then made a cross cut, then using a screwdriver and pliers I removed the factory cover. The remaining surface will actually be pretty clean and ready for this new piece. Let the car sit for a few hours to cure the silicone sealant, then drive it and you'll notice an immediate improvement in throttle response, idle and overall power and smoothness. He's worth his money. The dealer will tell you to buy a whole new valve cover and that will cost you a lot of money. This part will extend the life of your old valve cover if it is not already cracked elsewhere.
