This worked great for installing my Innovate MXT-L fuel level sensor on my XR650L. I had an issue with the nut that is welded to the clamp/bracket that holds the gauge in the chrome bowl. It came loose on the first trial install of the sensor and then removed to finish the mounting bracket so I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Without a bolt attached to the clamp it is not possible to attach the chrome cup to the mounting bracket you will be using so you cannot insert a tool into the cup to hold the nut while your gauge is in place . Finally I was able to glue the nut back onto the clip with epoxy. I was concerned that holding it up while tightening the screw wouldn't be enough, but so far it has (and I had to take it off 3 times to properly install the homemade bracket). So far, so good. I still recommend this product as I don't know of a better one for this purpose and I think my broken unit was just an accident.
