Bought this straightening comb in November 2016 and am so glad I did! He did a great job straightening my hair. I'm black and wear my hair natural, it's a mix of curls, waves and tight curls. I used to texture about twice a year for a while, but didn't until I bought this brush. I don't want bone-straight hair, just slicked back enough to wear a ponytail or hot curls. Girls, this brush more than makes it possible! I wash, blow dry or sometimes air dry and then use this brush and the results are very good! My hair is straight but not straight, smooth, soft and shiny - I can do hot curls or just pull it up in a ponytail or grab a headband and I'm very happy with the results. I get compliments all the time and this hairbrush helped me keep my curls for a minute :) This hairbrush made that option possible while keeping my head from looking like a messy mess! I had no problems with the comb, I had to learn how to comb well, use small strands and take my time, but despite all that I spend less time on my hair than when it's curly - because I use it with a brush, I found I found two places where my hair fell out - most likely due to all the manipulations that curls require and lack of patience on my part when combing my hair. clean and nice, but that's about it. I love this brush so much I plan to buy a second one as a spare; This is one of the best purchases I've ever made. The box it comes in is perfect for storing, the on/off buttons never give me any trouble when using the brush, it doesn't take long to heat up and the different heat levels are perfect. I don't iron, it's too sleek for my liking, and this brush does a good job between salon visits; I usually only need to touch up my edges once a week, sometimes not at all. Living in the south and experiencing hot flashes (for the rest!) Overall this is a good tool for the price and I think it helps reduce the time we spend on our hair. I'm very satisfied and this is the first straightening comb I've ever bought so I was a little apprehensive glad I bought this one. My bald spots have finally grown! I think straightening my hair with this brush made a difference as I don't manipulate my hair nearly as much as I do with curls - the headbands and soft ponytails were a bit protective and allowed my hair to 'rest' which is obvious necessary. This brush is a very good choice by a sane skeptic.
