Once you get the hang of it, these are wonderful. I bought two packs to set up my indoor jungle before we leave the country for three weeks so that our poor housesitter is not completely overwhelmed with complicated watering instructions. I forgot this and almost drowned two of my plants. Luckily I caught it and pulled them out of their pots to dry out a bit, but left unchecked they definitely would have succumbed to root rot.
