We returned to the US with two cats in tow. Due to two different flight restrictions, we were limited to 14 x 12 x 9.5 inches, which is pretty tight on the side of this backpack. The challenge was figuring out how to get the pee pads to cover the sides and bottom in all three positions (extended mode). The cats were in their carriers for 30 1/2 hours. The backpack made it easier to travel through the terminals and get on and off planes and buses. We were fortunate to have room on our second 8 hour flight to add and expand carriers during that flight and add to them at airports and in the car. I feel the expansion has allowed the cats not to feel so caged and they seemed really relaxed throughout this great journey. If we never use them again they were worth the money just for this trip.
