Bought this filter for my 2009 Peugeot THP150 LeMans (same engine as Mini Cooper S). On the plus side, it definitely feels more responsive and the bleeder sound is a bit louder. Also, I can now hear the turbo sucking in air (subtle but definitely noticeable). I would like to say that it seems like she is pulling a little harder. But let's be honest, my car has done about 9,000 now and I still had the stock filter that the car came with. Well, since I'm pretty dusty, the standard filter was a bit dirty (but not as bad as I thought). So is the extra little drag due to K&N or just because it now has a "clean" filter? maybe both. Verdict: I think the $50 was worth it. Performance-wise, as I said, there is a "feel" of improvement, but that could be due to the clean filter. How much fuel consumption goes; There is a BIG improvement. I can typically drive 500-600 km (310-370 miles) on a single 50 liter tank. This gave a fuel consumption of around 7.1 l/100 km (14 km/l, 33 mpg). After installing the filter, fuel consumption increased to approximately 6.7 l/100 km (15 km/l, 35 mpg); which gives me about 700 km (435 miles) on one tank of gas. Let's remember: supercharged (ie turbocharged or supercharged) cars benefit more from upgrades or modifications. So if your car is naturally aspirated (not supercharged) your improvements won't be as great as mine; but you will definitely see an improvement. As for performance; The most important thing when tuning or modifying a car is to adjust its characteristics. this. A car's performance depends on how the entire system works together, not just one specific part. So even if the new filter doesn't offer much gain over the standard system; In combination with other mods, this can make a significant contribution. the time will show
