The screen protector actually seems to increase the contrast of my monitor which is nice. I read that it has to do with reduced blue light. The glare that others have complained about is a small issue for me. I even have a matte screen, but I was willing to ignore the glare if that worked. I was hoping this would help me maintain my circadian rhythm as I would like to work until the evening. Unfortunately, I didn't experience any drowsiness or yawning unless I was looking at my monitor with this particular panel; I think the blue light was enough to suppress the natural release of melatonin. I didn't sleep as usual either. I've tried this with and without a screen for a couple of weeks with the same result; no caffeine, sugar, B vitamins, fish oils, stimulants or stimulants of any kind. Using apps and filters in night mode will ruin any color sensitive work. However, I don't experience any eye fatigue or dryness, but my monitor runs at 1440p 144Hz and is much, much easier on the eyes than a regular 1080p 60Hz monitor.
