I have recently bought a used Honda car which although in good condition still shows normal signs of use with light scratches and spots on the red paintwork. I've only used Complete Compound once so far, but I'm quite happy with the result. I applied the compound using a 6 inch random orbital polisher with an orange Griots foam pad. Removing the veil from the joint required little effort; I found that a light spray of a re-wet product like Speed Shine helped remove it. I think the compound's abrasive properties are fairly mild, it takes a few uses to buff the swirl marks, but I agree as it's better than using a product that's too abrasive and the color burns. The aforementioned red Honda behind our RV. It gets a pretty good dose of road salt, sand and mud at 60-65 mph on the interstate. If I wash it frequently, about 2-3 times a year, I use Complete Compound with a reverse osmosis polisher plus clay and a coat of Collinite 845. Although Complete Compound is not very good at stone chipping, it removes almost all traces of whirlpool and shows no signs of paint oxidation. I am very happy with the results.
