Oh my goodness these tire sensors are a must have when traveling in an RV. On our first ride we raised the screw and the sensor worked. The monitor showed how much pressure was in the tire and we knew we had enough air to ride and change trail safely. A few weeks later another tire blew, a sensor came off and we quickly lost pressure. We stopped quickly and stripped the rubber layer from the tire to the wire. If the sensor had failed, we would have had an explosion. Our tires were in fairly new condition and we didn't really think we'd need to buy them, but on the advice of other motorhome owners we invested in them. As new motorhome owners, this was one of the best purchases we've made. Worth the money today. Ease of installation. Expensive but worth it, you get what you pay for.
