This review is for the BDA4-340 1/2" Digital Torque Adapter. I like the fact that it runs on two AAA batteries, which is pretty common as opposed to button cell batteries. The rated torque ranges from 3.4 to 340 Nm (2.5 ft-lb - 250 ft-lb) and comes with a calibration certificate and easy-to-follow "grammatically correct" instructions. There are no drive adapters included so buy your own or simply need to use 1/2" drives and sockets. I tested the accuracy of this adapter using a HIOS HP-100 calibrated digital torque meter, which we use in our lab. The meter not only matched the adapter, but their torque readings were also identical. As previously mentioned, this adapter will not read anything below 3.4 Nm (2.5 ft lbs).Although the spec is from 68 Nm (50 ft l b) is guaranteed to be accurate, I found it accurate enough to match the torque meter at 3.4 Nm (2.5 ft lb) from the start. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an accurate torque wrench calibration standard or a general purpose torque adapter for use with standard ratchets.
