Review on πŸͺ‘ Gray RSP-110 Respawn Racing Style Gaming Chair with Reclining Ergonomics and Footrest by Tim Reimann

Revainrating 1 out of 5

For a complete assembly I had to buy extra bolts/nuts.

Assembling the chair was easy until I got to the part where I bolted the steel support at the base of the chair to the steel seat support. Three holes are drilled in the steel post for the three included 8x20mm bolts which require a hex wrench to tighten. The screws provided fit snugly into the holes from the back of the chair to the steel support on the chair seat but they didn't screw anything in like a nut so they just fall out and the chair falls apart and cannot be put back together as received became. I checked the instructions and they literally have a picture of these screws that just go into these holes and there is nowhere to screw them in to pull the rear brace to the seat frame. You just sit there. The accessories are nicely packaged and clearly labeled so I knew I hadn't lost anything and the instructions again clearly state I did everything right which to me is crazy how can anyone assemble this chair? I had to buy three 5/16 (I didn't have an 8x20mm/metric size at Home Depot so I couldn't use factory bolts) bolts/nuts and a matching ratchet combination wrench to use with a torque wrench to exchange for an extra install fee. That's why I'm only giving it two stars. I had to settle for silver screws because there weren't any black ones to match the color of the steel frame. The chair itself looks pretty good once assembled. This is a leather material, the quality is medium to high. The neck brace is perfect for me at 5ft 11in. It reclines almost completely and feels comfortable and doesn't feel cheap. I am satisfied with its look and feel. I would give it 4 stars but I just can't believe I had to buy nuts and bolts to install it. Judging by the instructions and pictures all chairs are like this, maybe I bought a defective manufacturer? I took a picture of what I mean. The nuts/bolts in the photo are the ones I had to buy and they weren't included so they are silver colored. Again, I carefully checked the instructions and box for extra parts and it was obvious there weren't any! Considering the extra $20 I spent, I might have found a slightly better chair, but probably not, so this might not be a complete deterrent if you don't mind the extra work. The chair is strong, comfortable, doesn't look too cheap.
