This is a standard DVD player but with very good performance. It can be connected via HDMI as well as audio and video inputs. I used an HDMI connection and was able to get it plugged in and working in less than a minute. It also has a USB port on the front, which is very handy for connecting Roku sticks or flash drives. Three things I particularly like about it are the multifunctional remote control, the ability to zoom in and out, and especially the onscreen buttons that let me see how much is left in the chapter I'm watching and how much is left for the whole chapters.
