The headphones have a low-end emphasis, but they don't focus solely on bass; there are other frequencies present, and the bass is nice. It's the best gaming monitor I've used; I played on a Baer mmx 300, which is a high-quality monitor with excellent resolution and clarity. After sampling these mezes, though, I understood that bass was the one thing I had been missing. As an added bonus, they don't weigh the wearer down or stick to the crown of the head like some competitors do. The footsteps and gunshots are delivered faithfully. Overall clarity is slightly diminished compared to the purchasers due to the bass, however this is by no means a deal breaker. Currently, I'm enjoying a game of mesa.
