I have a husky and she sheds A LOT. I had heard good things about these rubber brooms and I had previously tried one but with little success. The previous one had a pole that was made from either plastic or thin metal because the handle literally snapped while using it. So I was understandably nervous and didn't have high hopes for this one.I was honestly pleasantly surprised with this broom. The handle does require some assembly but it is incredibly well made, extendable, and thick and sturdy. The little rubber "fingers" do a pretty decent job of raking the dog hair through the carpet. I just wish they were a bit more stiff. I do like the inclusion of the squeegee as it comes in handy when cleaning water on my tile floors.
