It works but not very well

I have a turtle tank and wanted to use it to suck up clumps of slime between swamps of water. Very weak suction power, I had a kink in the hose that reduced the usable diameter. The flow valve is not very good and does not always close completely. Used for a few months but didn't want to add the useful extra I thought it should.
