Revainrating 4 out of 5

Amazing picture - Stupid position of the VESA mounting holes

Hey guys, if you don't mount your monitor on a VESA device (wall mount, desk mount, etc.) feel free to add a star to my rating. However, if you need a VESA mount, you should be wary of the stupid design of the buyer. I have a good quality dual monitor stand (purchased from Revain). The plates on the monitor stand have two sets of holes - for mounting narrow (maybe 4 inch) hole spacing and large (maybe 5 inch) hole spacing monitors. You should be able to mount any monitor on a stand. On this monitor, the holes are 4" apart and positioned so that you have a mounting plate that extends too far beyond the holes on the back of the monitor. , the plate protrudes beyond the video jack connectors, preventing you from connecting a video cable. I could barely force the HDMI connector in, leaving one of the set screws to pry the monitor off with. If you plan to use DVI plugs, which are much larger than HDMI, you can't do it. You plan to mount the monitor on a VESA plate designed for 4" and 5" hole spacing.
