Magnets are weak. I have a pretty standard case with a metal plate between the phone and the case. Other magnetic mounts had no problems, but this mount did. The extended arm is not extended a full 90 degrees and is not very long. Can work well for laptop but not Tesla touch screen. Also, the part with the magnets needs to be bigger, closer to the size of the pop socket, and as mentioned, need stronger magnets. work fine for you. I don't think the magnets are strong enough to drive.
