Is sensitive to air flow circulation as mentioned by others but if you think about it that is just common sense if you smoke a cigarette and you make smoke rings and someone moves the air the smoke rings dissipate and no smoke rings. Could there be an improvement to fix that? Yes, put it in a clear case with a vent to keep air flow interference at zero. That's an easy fix
