I thought I would have to start trashing all my garden hoses

The threads on both male & female replacement work fine on my older hoses. I tried their clamps, but as someone else commented, I too switched with a higher quality clamp. I have always had good luck with non-metal replacements, but this year I have yet to find the 2 or 3 name brands, which I have used in years past. These will sure beat tossing good hoses.

Pros

It fit the hose. Had to grease the hose to insert the connectors.

Cons

May not be able to withstand extreme temperatures
