Unfortunately they leak. This isn't necessarily because the neck isn't tightened enough, but rather because the product is flushed up through the nozzle and is left on your fingers. If you use citrus essential oils in your formula, you'll find that they eat away at the plastic cap as well. Carrying something like a body spray from a large bottle into something you could travel with would probably be okay. However, if you want to create your own perfume using aromatic chemicals and essential oils, I highly recommend purchasing a higher quality bottle. Too bad, the sprayer covers very well.
