So far this powder has been excellent. It dissolves better than the lead powder and claims to be beneficial to plants and aquatic life. I take 1/4-1/2 tsp. and dissolve in a beaker. Then add it to 10 ro/di gallons of water until I get what I need. If you're using tap water, you don't need it. It takes about 1 hour to completely dissolve, leaving very little on the ground. Stir every 15-20 minutes. Very happy with the stable results so far.
