I ordered direct from Bose and saved $30 with a training discount. This is my first soundbar, reluctantly as I have an old but very functional and noisy 5.1 system. Now I'm older and just don't need the space it takes up or the amazing bass. This new 300 is similar in size and sound to a combination of the older 500 and 700. It's loud, clear and after adjusting the bass, treble and mids in the app it's a very balanced sound, great for TV, movies and music. I am impressed. Alexa works great. And the Bose Music app is awesome. I have a 300 Home speaker (which is also ridiculously loud and easy to use) which has motivated me to stay within the brand as I can connect the speakers through the app. My favorite part of the app is that I can adjust the volume anywhere in the house. So when I go to bed and my wife is still awake and the TV is too loud, I turn down the volume myself. LQ 75in TV - took 2 tries but it works. An LG remote controls your TV, soundbar and AppleTV. I don't have cable TV, but I need it to use Bose's new built-in Voice4Video feature. Alexa doesn't control my AppleTV or TV like "Change Input". It's really designed to switch channels on a cable box. Very satisfied. I can't imagine the Sonos Beam it's meant to compete with would sound as good.
