The family has three piperwhites, all born in the year 2022. When compared side by side, there is no discernible difference. Fonts look slightly better in the 2022 and 2022 editions compared to the 2022 version. It's possible that the "closer" and seemingly higher contrast appearance of the text in the 2022 version is simply due to the screen's unique characteristics. Make a call on your own. The 2022 firmware is no longer being updated, but newer versions of the software are somewhat more user-friendly. Is it still worth it to buy 2022 if you can get it for a few thousand less? Only if you require a device that can withstand water, and you want to upgrade to the newest model with the longest warranty.
