In front of these guards it spits out LOTS of mud/puddles I've walked through no matter how small - much better now. Upon inspection I could already see the chips/scratches from the crap that had been kicked out of the tires - they should block everything. Perfect for my 2014 Kobold. You need to drill two holes. one on the fender edge (inside) and one underneath - which I missed because I don't feel like jacking the car up. I didn't feel like it was going anywhere as it also uses double sided tape and an existing screw. Being careful to drill into a pristine car I primed and painted the hole and then reinstalled the fasteners. probably overdone, but no rust.
