Review on 16oz Black Pro-Style Boxing Gloves (PR) by Emanuel Frison

Terrible fit and loose wrists

These gloves are great if you're not afraid of breaking your wrist. I'm 6'1", 190 lbs and have big hands. I have a pair of old 16oz Everlast gloves that I've owned for about five years and they just broke. Judging by the old quality, I've decided to buy a new pair. The first thing I noticed when trying it on was that when I put my hand inside where my fingers were supposed to rest, the material inside was so loose it felt like putting my hand in a gift bag full of tissues. In fact, I tried to pull out a handkerchief, thinking they were stuffing gloves with it. I also noticed that even though I have really big hands, the glove still felt oddly big to me and my hand couldn't feel comfortable. They look incredibly cheap. The next thing I noticed, perhaps the most important part of the glove, are the wrist straps. They don't wrap completely around the back of the wrist, which is a big problem as you can't adjust their tightness. I have medium sized wrists and can fit almost both hands in a glove. It's dangerous not being able to adjust them, because that's how people ruin their wrists and learn bad hitting techniques. I've never returned anything on Revain, but this will be the first. I wouldn't recommend these even for beginners as you are at a higher risk of injuring your wrist, learning poor form and even with bandages they don't offer much support. We strongly recommend not taking them.
