I bought this camera for a trip to Central America. I wanted a real camera to create good photographic memories of the trip instead of using my phone's camera. I wisely bought extra batteries, which turned out to be a prudent precaution. The battery life is good, but not outstanding. Carrying the 3 fully charged spare batteries was easy as they are small and light. Plus, I always felt confident that I could take any photos I wanted without worrying about running out of juice. The controls are relatively simple, but the menu navigation took me a while to get the hang of. It is highly recommended that you read the manual before using the camera. Initially I had some difficulties transferring pictures to another device and could never get the Facebook or Dropbox upload to work. The photos were of good quality and of sufficient resolution to be edited with the software on the computer/phone. Color accuracy was reasonable for a camera in this price range. In short, I was satisfied but not "overwhelmed" by this camera. For the price, it's a decent camera that's easy enough to use to get competent results.
