This is an exact replacement and I hope it is made of good quality plastic. The instructions don't help. They should say that it is necessary to remove the back screws on the underside of the rim holding the back cover in place to reveal the hidden handle mechanism and spring. The end of the spring can easily be pushed back far enough to lift the link out of the hole. Then simply remove the 2 screws holding the valve in place and then position the linkage onto the new valve before installing. Then reinsert the end of the connector into the hole in the handle mechanism. Mount the lid and you can put the toilet back into your motorhome with the new seal.
