I've had this series on several phones and the case usually outlasts the phone. This is my last phone and after two years the phone got stronger but eventually the case had to be replaced. I've dropped it onto carpet, tile, concrete, from a paint ladder onto concrete many times. The phone is flawless. The case held up well. The first thing to do is the kickstand. It's actually not very durable and it will break if you drop it often. First, it doesn't lock into its standing position due to the small tabs breaking off. Then it breaks completely. The plastic frame of my suitcase broke in a few places, but remained perfectly usable. The final straw was that the spring in the holster clip eventually burst due to fatigue (it cracked and stopped cracking, then broke). So I finally broke down and paid $20 for a new case. Money well spent in my opinion! This case has served me well! Even after two years, I can report that the protective film only has superficial scratches from nails and bags and many games, but this was not noticeable when the phone was switched on.
